Balettikoulu Sinikello

Balettikoulu Sinikello is a ballet school located in Oulu. It was founded in 1995. There are 400 dance students between the ages of 4-34. There also are dance groups for boys called Tiikeripojat, Tigerboys.

Ballet classes are held in the center of Oulu, in Heinäpää, in Värttö and in Kuivasjärvi.

In the beginning, children are taught the basics of ballet as well as improvisation and dancing through fairytales and playing. Year after year the amount of actual ballet dancing increases. The national curriculum for the basic studies in arts is mostly followed in Balettikoulu Sinikello.

A teacher and the director of Balettikoulu Sinikello is Päivi Koskela.

Spring term 8.1. – 19.5.2024

Fall and spring term are billed separately. For example, at the SI level, the fees are 140€ for fall term and 140€ for spring term.

The bill for the ballet classes of the term will be sent by email in the start of a term. First lesson is free trial session. After the second lesson the whole term will be charged. Please inform your ballet teacher after the first lesson if you will not continue attending the class.

Dresses for Ballet Groups

In Balettikoulu Sinikello, each ballet groups always has a certain dress, tights and soft ballet shoes: https://balettikoulusinikello.fi/oppilaille/opetus/ryhmien-puvut/. In BI groups and above, dancers also use a separate skirt. In BII groups and above, dancers also use pointe shoes.
